Working With Children
We have photographed a lot of kids over the years and we like to think that we do it rather well.
One of the things our photographers have learned is how to make youngsters feel relaxed.
Every age is distinct and every infant is different. Some will come bursting in looking forward to seeing you, ready for anything. Others might be a little more reserved and need some coaxing.
We will meet them at their level, chatting with them about what they like, what they have been doing, and generally getting them more comfortable.
If it means playing about and acting the idiot we can do that. If it means taking everything a little slower and quieter then we can do that too.
For the first part of the shoot we usually photograph your child using a variety of props from cute teddy bears to soft cushiony blankets. This helps them feel more comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. Pretty soon they will be happy and relaxed and up for the full sitting.
Parents are always welcomed and can interact with their child during the photography shoot.
We know it works because so many parents love the photos of their children so much they often bring their children back.

How to Enjoy Your Reception Without Missing a Beat
With all the stress and hoop-la that comes with the planning and execution of a wedding, it can be hard for the bride and groom to take a step back and bask in the celebration of their union. Here are a few tips on how to enjoy your reception and dance like no one's watching...even though everyone is.
- Don't forget about comfort. If you plan ahead it'll be easy to look good while still being comfortable. Flats, slippers, flip-flops, or wedges are all great footwear options for the reception. They'll most likely be hidden under your wedding dress, so you won't have to worry about looking silly. Fashionable sneakers are a great option for the groom.
- Be aware of the schedule. Talk to the photographer before the day of the wedding to discuss the best time for wedding portraits. Every photographer is different; some may prefer to take the wedding portraits right after the ceremony while others might like to wait until after the first dance. If you know the schedule beforehand, the focus can be on enjoying your day.
- Switch things up. Sometimes a wedding dress, although gorgeous, can be quite uncomfortable when it comes to eating and dancing. An option brides should consider is to bring a second dress to change into after the wedding portraits and family photos have been taken. It relieves the anxiety of keeping your wedding dress pristine and it is also a great excuse for more pictures (hint hint).
- Just dance! In other words have fun! Your wedding day is a once-in-a-lifetime thing, so enjoy every minute of it.
